our clubs raised money in their Community to support food supply locally.
Thirteen clubs obtained grants to provide PPE in their Community. Twelve clubs
obtained grants to provide food in their Community. Fifty Three clubs have
received Personal Protection Equipment which they provided to local
organizations. This PPE came from Ted Rossi's donation and the disaster grant.
The total value of these donations is above $500,000 (PPE, food,
and other services).
Food Grant and Club Efforts
Each club obtained money from a grant to support their local food
support organization. Many clubs supplemented this support with extra money from their own funds or from town donations. Notably Bridgeport made a large
donation from it's foundation. Branford developed a program of giving gift
cards to those in need, good at local restaurants thus supporting two groups
both of which had needs. In addition they raised money locally to support the
program.
