Monopoly Game in your town
You can make a Monopoly Game specifically for your town. This can be a fund raiser for your Rotary Club. You offer the board properties, the money and other game objects to businesses and individuals in your town. If you do this right you can pay for having the games manufactured. You can then sell the games for $20 each or whatever you wish. The money from selling the games is all profit. Maybe you can sell 750, 1000 or ?? games. So here's the game that East Hampton Rotary Club made. New Haven and Ridgefield are embarked on this fund raiser.
The Community(Rotary Club) buys plain white models of whatever is chosen. Kearney, Nebraska chose Cranes. They buy around 30 or so. Local businesses, individuals and non-profits sponsor these models and have the first right to buy them once they are painted. These sponsorships pay for the initial cost of the models.
So what fund raising ideas do you have. Put them in the Comments and I'll move it to the Blog. We'll have a list of ideas to help us get more money for our Service.
Cornhole TournamentClinton Rotary Club ran a Cornhole tournament. Cornhole is a game where you toss a bean bag at a board. If it goes in the hole in the board you get three points and if it stays on the board one point. It's a great game that anyone can play and it's a lot of fun. There's lots of fellowship involved because you're waiting around with strangers and friends. At any rate they made some money, had some fun and it wasn't hard. An outside company had the cornhole expertise, the main job of Clinton was to get the players.

You need to ask him why it took so long to finish the game
